Copenhagen and Malmö, Oct 26, 2026

Arkyn and SQL Systems have signed a system integrator agreement. Under it, SQL Systems will sell and implement Arkyn’s FastApps for companies that run their maintenance in SAP. The Malmö consultancy has worked on maintenance systems and SAP master data since 1985.

The two companies are not new to each other. The people behind Arkyn have worked with SQL Systems for close to 20 years, and the two firms announced a first collaboration in 2022. The new agreement turns that into a formal sales and implementation partnership.

SQL Systems works on the whole maintenance process, from how a fault report becomes a closed work order to preventive maintenance programs, spare parts, and KPIs. Much of that work comes back to data. Its consultants structure, clean, and govern the asset data that sits in SAP: functional locations, equipment records, bills of materials, and the technical documentation that goes with them. The SQL name stands for structure, quality, and liability, and the client list includes Vattenfall, E.ON, Uniper, SKF, and Stora Enso.

Master data is a critical bottleneck in the digitization of maintenance. Arkyn’s maintenance apps are only as useful as the SAP data behind them. If the equipment hierarchy is out of date or half the pumps have no record, a technician opens an app, cannot find what they are looking for, and goes back to paper.

Although Arkyn’s apps help improve master data, SQL Systems specializes in helping large organizations get control of their data and the processes around it. They do the groundwork, and the FastApps put the result in technicians’ hands, in the field, offline when needed, and with every update written back to SAP.

“We have worked with SQL Systems for years, so this agreement mostly puts on paper what we already do together and lets us sell as one,” says Kirsten Arnfast, CMO at Arkyn. “They bring strengths which we do not have. Our apps make SAP maintenance data easy to use in the field, and SQL Systems helps get the underlying ERP data and processes under control.”

“Our customers increasingly ask the same question: we have cleaned up the data, but how do we make it easier for our people to use and keep up to date?” says Emma Anderberg, CEO of SQL Systems. “This is where Arkyn adds value. We have known the team since before Arkyn existed, and we have seen that their apps get used in the field, which is the test that counts for a maintenance organization.”

For Arkyn, the agreement adds a partner with its own client list and consultants who already know those customers’ SAP systems and maintenance processes. For SQL Systems’ customers, it means one supplier for the process work, the data work, and the apps that run on it.
